    Statement 001

Dated association positions

A statement records the Association’s position on a defined issue at a particular time. Statements may clarify terminology, explain a publication or framework decision, set out an advocacy position, respond to a public question, or record a research position within the Association’s confirmed scope.

A statement is separate from the Robot Rights Framework and Robot Rights Protocol. It does not modify the current Framework or Protocol and must not be presented as a substitute for a source-of-record framework document. Later statements may update an earlier Association position while preserving the earlier statement as part of the publication history.
